Chasing 92% yield at 200 L scale

We hit 86–88% on bench, but at 200 L in a jacketed glass-lined reactor we stall at 78% and see impurity B spike when bumping agitator from 180 to 280 rpm and using a 2 C/h ramp. Has anyone recovered selectivity by switching a 10-minute neat charge to a 45-minute semi-batch feed or by moving from three to four baffles to tame vortexing, and do you target constant tip speed or power per unit volume during scale-up?

@OP I’d target constant P/V (about 0.3 W/L) instead of tip speed while metering the “10‑minute neat charge” over about 45 min; on our 200 L glass‑lined, that flipped 79→90% and knocked down B when 180→280 rpm had been spiking it. Small caveat: if you’re still vortexing with three baffles, drop the feed below the impeller or you’ll keep seeing local over‑concentration and B.
