Importance of Radiation Safety Training

I’ve been reflecting on how crucial proper radiation safety training is in our field. Even minor lapses in protocol can lead to significant hazards. I recently attended a workshop that emphasized the latest radiochemical methods for emergency response, which I believe should be more widely accessible to professionals. What are your thoughts on enhancing safety training in nuclear chemistry?

I completely agree that radiation safety training is vital. When I attended a hands-on simulation session last year, I found practicing emergency response scenarios really drove the message home. It’s one thing to hear about protocols, but going through them in a realistic setting makes a huge difference. @radiationsafetyteam should consider more workshops like that.
