I currently use PHREEQC v3 with llnl.dat and occasionally SUPCRTBL (2016), but I’m not sure what’s best when comparing feldspar–clay transformations in crustal conditions (about 150–300 °C, low‑grade). Suggestions or datasets you trust for silicates and oxides?
I’ve had success using the ThermoML database for more recent thermodynamic data, especially for modeling mineral–fluid interactions at the low-grade conditions you mentioned. It might give you an edge in understanding feldspar–clay transformations better than the older datasets. Just keep in mind that some values may still vary based on locality.

For low-grade conditions, I’ve had luck with the database from the Geological Society of America. They have excellent datasets that align well with PHREEQC; plus, they often link to recent studies which can provide additional context for your modeling. It might be worth checking out along with the resources you’ve been using.
